Coat Collection at Sunday's Vikings Game

Roseville, Minn. – December 2, 2011 The Minnesota Vikings and Verizon Wireless are encouraging fans to bring a new or gently used jacket to the Dec. 2 Vikings/Broncos game for donation to The Salvation Army.

Volunteers from Kids to the Rescue, a local teen group focused on helping less fortunate children, will be stationed at each gate collecting the jackets from 10 a.m. until kickoff.

The coats will be given away at The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center on Christmas Day.

Fans can also text to donate at the game by texting the word "blessing" to 85944 and replying "yes" to the confirmation text message. A $10 donation to The Salvation Army will be added to your wireless phone bill (standard text message rates apply).
