Time-Starved Mother Still Finds a Way to Help

Coming Soon to Harbor Light Shelter: Dignity

For years, up to 130 homeless men have been sleeping on the ground at The Salvation Army Harbor Light Shelter in Minneapolis. “It’s been a sea of flesh, with dozens of mats pushed up against one another,” said Steve Horsfield, Harbor Light's chief operating officer. “It’s so loud, you can barely have a conversation. It’s been an efficient model, but hasn’t provided much dignity.” That’s all about to change. (read more)
