WEBCAST SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

· A computer with a stable internet connection and Windows Media 7 or higher. A low bandwidth stream of 56k-150k will be available; a high bandwidth stream of 300k will also be available.

· You should know the capacity of your internet connection. A dial-up connection is generally best suited for the 56k stream. A cable or T1 connection can be billed "high speed" but yet not be able to receive the 300k stream. Check with your ISP or IT coordinator.

· Those housed behind a firewall (most corporate networks) should check with their IT coordinator to verify that a webcast can be viewed, the recommended speed and any changes to the local set-ups that might need to be made.

· Those planning to view via laptop or desktop should ensure they have a sound card installed, and either internal or external speakers available.

· *** Especially Important. Those planning to view the program on a large screen should confirm that their computer has a video output and their AV equipment is compatible. This is best done by testing beforehand. Note that certain set-up changes on the computer may need to be made. A desktop computer is less likely to need these set-up changes than a laptop.

· A test stream will be available approximately 1 month prior to the event, and a full network test will be conducted within a week of the event. The URL's for those tests will be distributed soon.
